EDT 546-Day 9

Today was the ninth day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546. The next-to-last day, everyone's rushing around trying to finish everything up. Nothing special to talk about really, except for one thing. At the end of the class, Dr. Christie gave a "Last Lecture" where she talked about her educational career, and what she's gone through. Very Touching :')

EDT 546-Day 8

Today was the eighth day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546. More filming today. I got to be Al Gore as a kid, and I also got to "Cross the midline". I believe all of the filming is done, and if it's not, shame on you! (Just Kidding) Anyway, I got to present one of my Garageband creations, I think they liked it, considering Cheryl wanted it. I'm gonna be a star!

EDT 546-Day 7

Today was the seventh day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546. Today was another filming today for the class. I got to star in several movies that include singing, dancing, acting, and pointing. Very fun! Anywaaaaay, I couldn't squeeze in all of the students movies into my schedule, so I get to do the same thing tomorrow. Sounds like fun!

EDT 546-Day 6

Today was the sixth day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546. Today was pretty fun, I got to star in a couple movies and I was able to make a couple songs in Garageband. Also, We learned how to make Powerpoints into web pages, PDF files, and pictures. Overall, it was pretty interesting to see all the different ideas the students had for movies. It's cool to think that teachers aren't so lame outside of school :).

EDT 546-Day 5.5

Saturday. Me and the rest of the interns came early to hide the boxes at the selected locations for the students to find in their Geocaching experience. We came up with some clever hiding spots, and I'm sure they had fun trying to find them. Halfway through the experiment, I realized that my group was essentially, "using" me to find their caches. Those sneaky devils! ;) Anyway, I started to let them lead the way, and I just pretended I didn't know where I was going. Nice way to switch it around, huh? Still, no one has started filming me, but I know for a fact I have been in numerous photos. Not like I want to be filmed OR photographed.

EDT 546-Day 5

Today was the fifth day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546 class at ASU at the West Campus. Today was a nice little refresh for me and a whole bunch of other people on Photoshop Elements, and I learned how to make something have a gradient color, leaving the rest of the photo untouched. No one has began filming for one of their fantastic movies, Starring ME! and at the end of the day, me and a couple other interns got to walk around campus marking spots for tomorrows lesson on Geocaching. Man, was it HOT!

EDT 546-Day...4, isn't it?

Today was the fourth day, blah blah blah blah blog....Dr. Christie's EDT 546, blah blah blah. Today the students learned how to use Adobe PhotoShop Elements in great detail. Dr. Christie really knows what she's doing (Most of the time ;))! So far, no one has started filming for the projects I (was) volunteered for. I just can't wait! For being an intern the past three years, I should expect that I'm going to be forced into this manual labor they call "movie-making". I have to make a break for it...is that window open...?

EDT 546-Day 3

Today was the third day of Dr. Alice Christie's EDT 546. Todaaaaay, the students learned how to use Imovie to create movies that I will most likely me starring in (Yay! NOT). So far, I have 6 people that have asked me to star in a movie/project for this class. Anyway, I'm adding an "Electronic Portfolio" section to my web site. I get to make more buttons, and everyone knows that's my (least) favorite thing to do.

EDT 546-Day 2

Today was the second day of Dr. Christie's EDT 546. The students talked about using Inspiration as a "glue" for their electronic portfolio. We also entered a little contest as to who can make the sloppiest looking PowerPoint. If it goes by craziness and wackiness, I will definitely win. So today the teachers are realizing that they can abuse my ability to sing, dance, and whatever they want for their educational movies. I hope it won't be too bad *cross fingers*.

EDT 545 Presentation Day!

Today was the day that all the teachers presented their websites to the rest of the class. Quite interesting learning what these people went through just to make a website. Being the last day of EDT 545, everyone in the class brought in food and snacks for everyone to share. Awards were also handed out today, I got "The Where Are the Other Junior Interns Award", which is kinda funny, because Dylan and Vaany weren't here for most of the time. I hope in EDT 546 more of the junior interns will show up, because I'm getting lonely (not really). Many of the students from 545 will be in 546 so I'll get to see old faces, but I'll also be able to meet some new people, hopefully. See you all in EDT 546!

ASU-Day 8

Another work day today. I had a venti Mint Mocha Chip frappucino today, talk about hyper to crash in one hour flat! Anyway, I finally uploaded my web site. It's looking good, and I got it to be centered on both platforms (Mac and PC). The students talked about how they would use their website, and how their students could use it more efficiently. Towards the end, Dr. Christie wandered around the classroom critique-ing everyone's website. I have a feeling some of them will be in EARLY tomorrow to work on their websites.

ASU-Day 7

Today was just a work day in EDT 545 . We all just kind of sat there and worked. How boring, I know, but it gave me valuable time to work on my website (which is almost done!). Other than that, we learned all about Common Tree Cows in a very interesting PowerPoint presentation. Nothing else to report. I'm outie, yo!

ASU-Day 6 (for me)

Well, today, we all learned how to upload our websites onto Dr. Christie's space on the ASU West Server. While it was just practice, it was a good chance to see everyones websites and look at their file structures. Other than that, today was pretty normal. All we interns did was sit around and chat. Good way to start out the week, eh? ([+_+])

Dear Diary....

Haha Just Kidding. So today in EDT 545, we learned how to resize photos to put into your website. Another thing we learned was how to put anchors on a web page. Quite a complicated process, I think. I started working on my website today. 'Tis really easy once your brain gets a nice little refresh. I am taking advantage of one of Dr. Christie's lessons and putting buttons on my web page. It's easy, just make a shape in PhotoShop, add text, save to the web, put on the page, and BAM! You got your button. (^_^)

ASU-day 4

Today, the teachers(students) learned how to use Boolean Operators when using search engines. Some of them were quite clueless as to what to do when Dr. Christie instructed them with AND, OR, and NOT. Anyway, I learned how to cut a background of a picture out in PhotoShop Elements. Much easier than I thought it would be. I also got a "mental refresh" on PowerPoint today. I believe many of these students will be done much earlier than when they're supposed to be. Quite intelligent, they are. <(-_-)>

ASU-Day 3

Today was the third day of Dr. Alice Christie's EDT 545 "Technology Boot Camp". Today, the students learned how to keep a good file structure for their websites. The teachers also began to create their final websites. Some of them have gotten pretty far(as in past their first page)! So far this has been a learning experience for us all, students or otherwise. I still wonder, why do some of them still insist we give our opinion on their websites, I mean, we're just here to help with any issues that may come up.

Today was the second day of Dr. Alice Christie's EDT 545 :"Technology Boot Camp". Today, the students are learning how to create a "play" site and finding their favorite 25 sites to bookmark. It is interesting to listen to the different ways the students understand the daily readings.

Today was the first day of Dr. Alice Christie's "Technology Boot Camp" EDT 545. I hope to learn a couple new things from this class. Today, I learned how to make a blog on blogger.com and how to create an e-mail account on gmail.com. Too bad Dr. Christie has to retire :(
